BEST GOLF COURSE FOR FAMILY FRIENDLY GOLFERS

This 18 hole, par-3 golf course Lost Brook Golf Club is located on 750 University Ave, Norwood Massachusetts. The country club opened in 1975 and hired Sam Mitchell to design the golf course. It was built on flat terrain and has tree-line fairways. Some of the fairways are doglegs and have well built, elevated greens that are also well-bunkered. They have two ponds that come into play while in two of the holes. Additionally, there is a small creek called The Lost Brook, which comes into play for a few of the holes, so watch out for losing your ball in some water on certain holes.
Unfortunately there is not a driving range at Lost Brook, but the par for the course is 54 and from the back trees of the course plays to 3,002 yards; from the more forward trees the course measures 2,468 yards. The third hole is the longest and is a par-3 to 212 yards. The shortest hole on the course is the first hole and plays to 90 yards from the back trees. Be aware of the fourth hole, which is a 210-yard par 3 challenge and the number one handicap hole on this course. If you’re wondering what the easiest hole is, don’t fret. The easiest hole is the fourteenth hole, at 126 yard par-3. This small course with 18 holes and a great place to run off to for a quick game after work or with younger children who do not want to spend their entire day at a golf course.
This is a beautiful and fun course for friends or family days and a great place for golfers of all levels. Here is Joe D’s testimonial of his most recent visit to the Lost Brook Golf Club, “Great place for a quick round of golf and to work on your short game! As many here have said, the course is in great shape, each hole is fairly straight, and only a couple of holes have hazards to avoid..I took my 10 year old son here recently for his first round of golf and he loved it! The course was easy enough for him and wasn’t crowded at all, so we were able to take our time..I was able to rent clubs for him and we also used a riding cart. Prices were very reasonable! We will definitely play here again!” and we believe he perfectly described what your next experience could be when visiting Lost Brook.
Lost Brook is open everyday, except for holidays and when weather is not permitting. The cost is approximately twenty five to thirty dollars for admission and tee time. You can also rent golf clubs and trolleys; there are no golf carts at this course and no drink cadis. So all you need to bring is yourself and a good attitude. You can make your reservation by calling the clubhouse at (781) 769-2550. Walk-ins are also welcome, but play time is not guaranteed.
